Welcome back everyone, we are excited to see what 2023 brings to our arts community and the innovative work you will produce. On February 11, Inner West Council and the community are launching Pride Inner West which is a program jam packed with performances, live music, art and workshops for all. Chrissie Cotter Gallery is joining in the fun, so let us introduce one of the exhibiting artists being showcased for Pride Inner West ... Sexy Galexy!

Having performed all over the world throughout their 30 year career as a Drag King performing and producing King shows, Sexy Galexy is a glitz, glam, masc, fem, a get down boogie man all wrapped up in a disco-loving, muscle flexing more-of-a-woman-when-i’m-a-man man. A true gem and pioneer, the original Drag King ‘Glamour BOI’ was the influencer of the modern Drag King look. Sexy always brings his legendary stage presence, high glamour, high camp performance magic. Be prepared to be bedazzled! Read more about Sexy Galexy and their work here

Sexy Galexy and other Kings' work will be featured in Behind the Zip which is on display at the Chrissie Cotter Gallery from February 16 until March 5. This exhibition will show that Drag Kings in Australia have had an extensive and vibrant history. Come along to the opening night on February 16 2023 from 6pm for an evening of performances and music.

Lastly, Council's EDGE Art Camp on the GreenWay and EDGE Sydenham: Celebrate 2044 EOIs have been extended until Monday 6 February at 12 noon. Apply here.
