A morning cycling tour will explore three sustainable homes in the Petersham and Lewisham areas, and an afternoon walking tour will visit three homes in the Petersham and Marrickville areas.
Cycling Tour: 9am - 1pm - The total cycling distance between the homes will be less than 3km.
Walking Tour: 1.30pm - 4pm - The total walking distance between the homes will be less than 2km.
Tour groups will see and discuss:

• Drought tolerant and permaculture gardens
• Rainwater tanks
• Water Sensitive Design
• Reverse brick veneer
• Native and honey bees
• Urban poultry systems
• Passive solar design
• Solar PV, solar hot water
• Rammed earth wall and much, much more...
And residents can join local sustainable interior designer Tracy Graham to discuss how sustainability featured in the Green Living Centre's shop front renovation – and how sustainable design elements can be applied to any home renovation.
Attendees will learn about attractive, low cost design that’s good for personal health, and the health of planet. Tracy Graham will be at the Green Living Centre on King Street, Newtown from 10am.
