Michelle Connolly says her 'Mind At Play II' exhibition “is about presenting the many 'character' artworks that I have created over a ten year period.”
The characters are in 2D and 3D form, and have been created with found material and mixed media.
“The characters raise questions of the human psyche. I have bipolar disorder and these creations emerge from a happy mania of art making,” Michelle said.
“This is my second exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery. I first exhibited in May 2017. The first 'Mind At Play' was very successful.
“I do love Chrissie Cotter Gallery as it provides a great, professional looking space where the general public can come and see the exhibition.
Plus the location is perfect for me,” said Michelle, who lives in Petersham and has a studio in Marrickville.
‘Mind at Play II’ opens Wednesday 19 February 2020, 6pm to 8pm.
Exhibition dates: 20 February 2020 to 1 March 2020. Closed on Monday and Tuesday, 24 February and 25 February 2020.
Gallery hours: 11am to 4pm.
