Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne
Get ready for one of the Inner West’s best days out, with six stages of free live music, creative stalls and street food taking over Marrickville Road and surrounding laneways on Sunday 11 October.
Marrickville Music Festival will once again transform the streets of Marrickville into a giant celebration of music, creativity and community, showcasing why the Inner West is known as the home of live music.
From indie and rock to experimental and global sounds, there will be something for every music lover, with a stellar line-up of artists performing across six stages throughout the afternoon.
The 2026 line-up includes Polish Club, La Gati, The Slims, XääD, Cast Iron Kid, Aljamia and The Greasy Chicken Orchestra.
Alongside the live music, festival-goers can explore creative stalls, discover local makers and artists, and enjoy a huge range of street food as Marrickville Road becomes a vibrant pedestrian playground.
Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne said Marrickville Music Festival was a celebration of everything that makes the Inner West such a special place.
"Marrickville is one of the great live music neighbourhoods anywhere in Australia, and this festival puts that incredible creative energy right on the streets.
"Six stages, brilliant artists, great food and thousands of people coming together for a free day out – this is the Inner West at its absolute best.
"We’re proud to support live music and the artists, venues, small businesses and creative communities that make Marrickville and the Inner West the cultural heart of Sydney.”
Marrickville Music Festival is presented by Inner West Council and is part of Council’s program of major street festivals celebrating the unique character, culture and creativity of Inner West neighbourhoods.
