Council’s Footprints Film Competition, part of the Footprints Ecofestival, is an opportunity for aspiring local filmmakers to produce a short film about their local environment.
Shortlisted films will be screened in a bicycle-powered cinema tent and the winner announced at the Footprints Ecofestival on Sunday 27 August 2017 at Whites Creek Valley Park, Annandale. The festival is free and open to everyone.
The bicycle powered cinema tent at the centre of the Footprints Film Festival always captures the attention of curious film lovers on the day but so does the always inventive short films themselves.
The festival provides an opportunity for anyone to match their creativity to their environmental passion with kids, teenagers and adults regularly entering in significant numbers.
All that is needed to enter is a great idea using the themes of environment and sustainability, and a video camera or a mobile phone to make their film.
Films must have an environmental or sustainable message or theme, and be no longer than 7 minutes.
Starting Monday next week, budding filmmakers again have the chance to enter Inner West Council’s annual Footprints Film Festival that showcases the best of Sydney’s short films with an environmental or sustainability theme.
