Celebrate Lunar New Year in the Inner West!
Lunar New Year is traditionally celebrated by Central and South-East Asian diaspora all over the world, a tradition that dates back over 4,000 years.
Inner West Council is partnering with local community groups and artists for two weeks of cultural celebrations in Ashfield and Marrickville. Celebrate the Year of the Horse by participating in a cultural experience spanning Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Korean cultures.
All are welcome to participate. With the year of the horse associated with vitality and energy, there is no better time to reconnect with a familiar culture or expand your horizons with an unfamiliar one.
Events will be free to attend, with most requiring prior registration. You can find out more below.
