GreenWay Art Prize

The GreenWay Art prize celebrates the precious urban green corridor in Sydney’s Inner West and aims to capture the essence of the GreenWay through visual art.

We invite you to submit entries for the 2019 selection of GreenWay art prizes with a total value of $11,000.

There are five prize categories:

  • Open Art Prize
    $5,000 cash, plus exhibition package worth $1,000
    Open to all artists
  • Local Artist Prize
    $1,500
    Open to all artists living within the Inner West Council and City of Canterbury-Bankstown local government areas.
  • Cooks River Small Sculpture Prize
    $2,000
    Open to all artists
  • Community Photography Prize
    Adult Winner $500, 2nd place $300
    Youth (Under 18) Winner $200, 2nd place $100
    Open to all artists
  • Derivan People’s Choice Award
    Hamper of Derivan Matisse products valued at $500

All artworks will be selected based on their artistic merit and relevance to one or more of the GreenWay and Cooks River themes of:

  • Waterways
  • The urban environment
  • Community connections
  • Sustainable transport in Sydney’s Inner West.
