GreenWay Art Prize

Call for entries opens 30 June! 

The GreenWay Art Prize celebrates through visual art, the essence of the GreenWay – a precious 5.8km urban environmental and sustainable transport corridor in Sydney’s Inner West.

Following the route of the Inner West Light Rail and Hawthorne Canal, the GreenWay features bike paths and foreshore walks, cultural and historical sites, cafes, bushcare sites and a range of parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities.

The GreenWay Art Prize is a national award, judged and exhibited at Art Est. School and Gallery in Leichhardt, and open to all artists submitting work within the Terms and Conditions of the Greenway Art Prize  

There are five prize categories:

  • Open Art Prize
    $5,000 cash, plus exhibition package worth $1,000
  • Local Artist Prize
  • Cooks River Small Sculpture Prize
  • Community Photography Prize
    Adult Winner $500, 2nd place $300
    Youth (Under 18) Winner $200, 2nd place $100
  • Derivan People’s Choice Award
    Hamper of Derivan Matisse products valued at $500
