As part of EDGE Newtown, Aphrodite Art Activists head out into the community to interview artists so we can better understand what they need to survive and thrive in the Inner West.
7 November Aphrodite will launch her own army: a Squadron of Aphrodite Arts Activists for a social media blitz "artists talking with artists" about the role our creatives play in loving, fighting for, and protecting our world and lifestyle. Visit here for more details.

Artist interviews with artists from studios, in galleries on the streets in front of their work throughout Newtown and streamed live via POPSART Facebook page.

Artist statement
The Aphrodite Arts Activists will expand on and subvert the archetype of beauty and love today. They will be introduced to the live audience, ritually inducted into the power of the clan and sent forth into the world. Local artists and community members will be special guests on the show, in interviews activating a deep dive into the cultural terrain of the Inner West.
