Community Leaders in Sustainability course

There's plenty we can each do on our own, but real change happens when people work together.

Inner west communities are doing great things – and you can be part of it.

Have you got a community environment project idea or an issue that you are passionate about?

'Community Leaders in Sustainability' course

The free 'Community Leaders in Sustainability' course provides you with training in:

  • project management
  • grant writing
  • building partnerships
  • leadership skills
  • environment and sustainability.

Applications for the 2018 course have now closed.

The course will run from Tuesday 11 September until Tuesday 13 November, with a graduation event on Thursday 6 December.

You'll meet experts, hear about community environment projects and connect with other like-minded people.

Participants put their knowledge and skills into practice, and will work to deliver a community environmental project that creates positive outcomes for the inner west, with the support of the program.

These projects could be in a workplace, your street or your local area, around your local waterway, natural places or have a far broader influence.

The list of possible projects is endless, but projects should take a community-oriented approach to environmental sustainability.
