Marrickville Souths Breakfast Club

Marrickville Souths Boxing and Breakfast will be jointly led by PCYC Marrickville Club Manager Pippa Algar and Senior Constable Tyrina Kurzydlo, Youth Case Manager, in collaboration with Inner West Council, Marrickville Youth Resource Centre, Barnardos Australia and Headspace Ashfield.

This tailored engagement program has been developed to improve the physical fitness and overall wellbeing of our local youth and to also introduce participants to the PCYC NSW Star Values: Resilience, Commitment, Respect, Integrity and Citizenship. The program hopes to act as an early intervention stage to prevent and divert youth from anti-social and offending behaviours and to protect vulnerable youth from potential victimization. This program has been designed to encourage disengaged youth to participate and engage within the community reconnecting them to their surroundings. Youths from the age of 12-17 will benefit mostly from a program of this nature and therefore it has been catered around this age group. The program will run every Wednesdays in the school term from 6:30am to 8:00am. Participants will take part in a fitness session and be given breakfast before being dropped to school.

If you have any questions or would like to register to the program, please contact Tyrina Kurzydlo on 0427 012 042 or Pippa Algar on 02 9559 7722.
