How are we greening the festival?

Footprints Ecofestival isn’t just about showcasing sustainability in our Inner West community, it’s also about showing how to run a sustainable festival. So how is Inner West Council doing this?

Council has a single-use plastic free policy and all vendors have agreed not to use any single-use plastic bags, water bottles, straws, coffee cups, containers or cutlery on site.

There will be water stations in the park so attendees can bring their own reusable water bottle and fill it up. You can help green the festival by bringing your own water bottle, coffee cups, cutlery and bags to the festival.

You can also reduce emissions by walking, cycling or catching public transport to the event.

Council will be running two stalls at the festival with ideas, tips and tools to tackle climate change and ways to move towards zero waste in the Inner West.

Do you want more information about Inner West Council's sustainability programs? There are sustainability projects underway across the Inner West. More details at our Environment and sustainability webpage
