The Night is Ours – Live Music in the Inner West

Live music has long been a vital component of the cultural fabric of the Inner West, providing a platform for creative expression and community connection.

Celebrate Australian Music Month with us as we present the following podcasts with local musicians from the 80s, 90s, 00s and today as they discuss their experiences in the pubs, theatres and venues at gigs in the Inner West.

Coming from different backgrounds and each witnessing a different Inner West, these artists discuss how the Inner West has influenced their creativity and art. Nic Dalton conversing about the songlines of the Inner West, Darren Cross’ memories of classic Sydney cult heroes Midget, Alannah Russack’s reminisces of her days in Sydney with the Hummingbirds, and Georgia Wilkinson-Derum’s experiences playing the small bars and bigger venues of the Inner West as a musician in up and comers Body Type.
