E-waste and chemicals events

Council hosts a bi-annual household chemical and e-waste drop-off event which accepts a large variety of chemicals and e-waste for free. Council also has two Community Recycling Centres that open every weekend, accepting common household problem waste for free. Both are open to everyone and proof of residence is not required. A full list of what is accepted at each is on the table below.

Council recommends deleting any personal data from your devices before dropping them off for recycling.

Please note household quantities of 20L or 20kg are only accepted.

Household chemical and e-waste drop-off events

Location

Inner West Council Works Depot, 15-17 Unwins Bridge Road, St Peters.

There is no entry via Unwins Bridge Road. Entry is at the rear through Bolton Street and exit via Unwins Bridge Road (left-hand turn only)

Community Recycling Centres

Community Recycling Centre – Leichhardt

Address: 50-54 Moore Street, Leichhardt

Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 7:45am - 11:30am, 1pm - 3:45pm

Community Recycling Centre – St Peters

Address: 15-17 Unwins Bridge Road, St Peters (entry at rear, through Bolton Street)

Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 8am - 1pm
