10am - Artist talk by Gabrielle Bates about the symbolic language of voodoo, mapping and assemblage, to explore the primal attachment we have to our homes/neighbourhoods; and to underline the critical importance that marginal narratives play in the creation of ‘place’. Cars and Our Future - A Frontyard event (Studio 33)
2pm - How do we let cars determine our future? Frontyard will entertain some possible and preferable futures to a city designed for cars. What can we learn from the activism against WestConnex? How can creative spaces have more agency in infrastructure decisions? Frontyard will be working together with experts who have been actively working towards alternative futures; and to articulate alternative and preferred futures that matter to us. Bring your wild and modest ideas, your critiques of the status quo, and an open mind for this discussion.

Genevieve Carroll @ Thirning Villa Artist in Residence (Studio 2)
Genevieve Carroll is the current Thirning Villa Artist in Residence. Genivieve and Bill Moseley of Hill End Press will explain and demonstrate all the ins and outs of the fine art of letterpress printmaking. Letterpress printmaking is a technique of relief printing using a printing press.

Australian Animals In Clay @ Art Camp (Studio 33)
9.30am – 12.30pm Sculpting in clay and clay painting with Sarah Harvie.
Making your own Australian animals from clay, including wombats, kangaroos, crocodiles and more. Suitable for children 5-8 years.
Note: Please come dressed so you can get messy and bring along a small shoe box you can take your sculpture home in. Don’t forget a drink and snack for your break.

Introduction to multi-media coil weaving @ Art Camp (Studio 33)
10.00am – 12.00pm Come along to the Australia street studios in Camperdown and in two hours learn how to make a coil woven bowl with Sydney-based artist, Michele Morcos. Using recycled plastic bags, wire, raffia, coloured wool, and string, you will learn a few some simple coil and cobbling weaving techniques to create a beautifully, textured woven bowl/object.Suitable for adult beginners and experienced fibre artists. Six places available.

Transform your Treasures @ Connie Dimas Jewellery (Studio 9)
10am – 2pm Don’t know what to do with that tiara? Bring in any heirloom or favorite pieces, broken, whole, valuable or sentimental for a consult on whether to rework or remake. Connie designs and produces original jewellery that is handmade in her studio. Traditional artisan techniques are used create jewellery that is timeless and reflects her love of shapes and textures.

10am – 11am and 3pm – 4pm Tour of screen printing studio space.
How are images exposed onto a screen? Learn how to take a drawing or photo and put it onto the screen using UV light, ready for screen printing onto shirts, posters, glass, wood and more.
Join the crew at Bobbin & Ink for a free tour of the screen printing studio space.
Bobbin and Ink is a workshop and retail space, which has created a fun environment for people interested in sewing and screen printing. Take a class, shop or rent professional equipment.

Urban Jungle @ Drawn To Seeing (Studio 21)
10am – 2pm Urban Jungle is a drawing event open to all ages. Using observational drawing techniques, participants will experiment with a variety of mediums to create a large scale collaborative work representing Marrickville's built and natural diversity.
