colour together with the simpler considered form of the fluid organic

Sensitive Receivers: Rejecting WestCONnex

In an ex-shopfittings-factory home studio, Sensitive Receivers: Rejecting WestCONnex presents
the urgent work of 40 inner-west artists and activists + screenings of
TUNNEL VISION (Ivan Hexter 2016). Up the hill on Victoria Road
WestCONnex proposes to demolish 27 homes and businesses for a
tollway/tunnel no-one needs.

Studio 63 will exhibit examples of past work by Eleni Pitsilioni-Alexiou
including a mix of ceramic pieces, collages in paper and fabric,
jewellery, and mixed media constructions – as well as on-going work
being prepared for exhibition.

Expanded Photography @ Articulate project space
Expanded Photography shows artwork that reflects on
relationships between the virtual space of the photographic image and
the live space in which it is located. The exhibition is designed
by Articulate to support the interdisciplinary potential being explored within
art practices that are sometimes also more discipline-specific. It is also
designed to explore ways in which the spatial concerns of Articulate can engage
with the photographic concerns being emphasised by many exhibition around

This exhibition showcases the diverse talents of emerging and
established artist and musicians who reside at Alpha Artist cooperative,
covering photography, paintings, mixed media and hand-made instruments.
An artist cooperative with a history spanning 20 years. The Gallery and
studios showcase the works of the established and emerging artists who
work in the Gallery.

The Ultimo Project Studio will have a group exhibition at its UP Space
Gallery for both weekends. Participating artists include Paul Wan, Jan

Kenning, Adam Laerkesen, Barbara Licha, Jennifer Levitus, Wayne

Annual Group Show @ Factory 49 (Studio 2)
Our Annual Group show features work from the Committee, recently
exhibited artists and alumni. Names are listed on our web site, with
details of associated events, performances etc. With two exhibition
spaces, an outside wall series and Paris projects, Factory 49 provides a
platform for experimentation and exposure for artists whose work is

Kirsty Collins Cooks River Studio Exhibition (Studio 10)
Join Kirsty at the Studio where she will be exhibiting her latest
ceramic artwork and demonstrating her installation art process. There
will also be a clay play table for children to experiment. Kirsty
Collings was recently awarded a 'commendation’ at Rookwood Cemetery
Sculpture Walk 2016. Her home studio on the Cooks River has her latest
artworks and installation artwork in progress.

Made In House is a celebration of work made by the MakerSpace
community. With an exhibition of designs for the home, and live
demonstrations of blacksmithing, sand-casting metal, machine knitting,
ceramics, woodwork and more! A huge workshop filled with machinery
(wood, metal, ceramic, electronics, textiles and printmaking), friendly
staff and a phenomenal creative community, come and take a look, take a

Revolution: A Group Show @Tortuga Studios

Tortuga Studios is a collaborative hub for 25 artists and makers. In an
old brick factory in the heart of St Peters, Tortuga Studios is an
eclectic, multi-disciplinary warehouse space/ gallery.

Those in Stone Houses @ Stonevilla (Studio 27)
Stonevilla Studios will host an exhibition titled, Those in Stone Houses.
Six artists will exhibit their latest work in their studio running for
the whole day. Participating artists are Nick Strike, Luke Parker,
Michelle Hanlin, Stephen Ralph, Sam Whittingham and Trevor Fry. Nick
Strike will be providing a film screening of his films 'Box of Clouds',
'Burn Diver' and 'Time on Ice' thought the day.
