Clr Anna York – Stanmore Ward

Background

Anna has worked in government organisations, at all levels, for over 10 years, in state government to protect our natural environment and later in the private sector to support major government reform.

Anna has a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and currently works in the area of gender inequality.

Anna lives in Newtown with her husband Daniel, young son and their dog Maevis.

Aims as a Councillor

  • Committed to making the new Inner West Council work so that all residents can access high quality, well run services, and have a say about local decisions.
  • Interested in making Inner West a leader in sustainability and renewable energy
  • Promote the importance of local programs and facilities for families with young children such as: Magic Yellow Bus; Fanny Durack Pool; and local library programs.
