Updates to the current Development Control Plans (DCPs) – adopted by Council

Council publicly exhibited amendments to the current DCPs from 16 March and 24 April 2020 as part of a wider project (Draft Inner West Local Environmental Plan 2020 and associated amendments to the related Development Control Plans). Council resolved on 23 June 2020 to adopt these amendments.

There were two aspects to the changes: one relating specifically to the draft Inner West LEP 2020, which will come into force in line with the making of that LEP.

The other aspect of the changes does not relate only to the draft LEP: These amendments will apply from 3 July 2020:

  • delete control C25(c) of the Leichhardt DCP 2013 relating to car share provision; and
  • delete the notification requirements from each DCP as these are now covered by Council’s adopted Community Engagement Framework.

The amendments relate to particular parts contained within the:

  • Marrickville Development Control Plan 2011;
  • Leichhardt Development Control Plan 2013; and
  • Comprehensive Inner West Development Control Plan 2016 for Ashbury, Ashfield, Croydon, Croydon Park, Haberfield, Hurlstone Park and Summer Hill.

You can access copies of the updated DCPs here.

The amendments come into effect on 3 July 2020.
