Community Awards 2023 – Nominations Open
Nominations are now open for Inner West Council's Community Awards programs until Sunday 2 April 2023. This includes the Pauline McLeod Awards for Reconciliation, Citizen of the Year Awards and Amy Large Volunteer of the Year Awards.
- Wednesday 8 March 2023: Nominations open
- 5pm Tuesday 11 April 2023: Nominations close
If you know someone who is making a difference in the Inner West, the Community Awards give you a chance to nominate them and have their contribution recognised.
Nominees and award recipients will be celebrated as part of a collective event in May 2023.

Citizen of the Year Awards
The Inner West Council Citizen, Senior Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards aim to recognise outstanding contributions from individuals within the inner west community. Award categories include:
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Citizen of the Year
- Senior Citizen of the Year

Amy Large Volunteer Awards
The Amy Large Volunteer of the Year Awards acknowledge outstanding volunteer contributions to local families, organisations, programs and individuals in the Inner West community.

- Volunteer Team/Group of the Year

Pauline McLeod Awards for Reconciliation
The Pauline McLeod Awards for Reconciliation acknowledge the achievements of those who work to promote Reconciliation through selfless acts.
Award categories include, with an award for Indigenous and non-Indigenous persons in each category:

- Secondary Award
- Open Award
