White Bay Power Station Remedial Works

The Department of Planning and Environment has advised the commencement of staged remediation and conservation works at the White Bay Power Station.

About the work

The repair works will take place to both the interior and exterior of the buildings, with the purpose of protecting and preserving the Power Station for future adaptive re-use as part of the Bays West
Place Strategy.

The NSW State Heritage Listed White Bay Power Station is an historically significant and important public asset and all works will be completed in accordance with the site’s Conservation Management Plan to ensure that the integrity of the Power Station is maintained.

When will the work take place? 

Repair activities will commence in February 2022 and are expected to be completed by 2024.

What time will the work happen? 

The work hours for construction activities will typically be as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 8am to 1pm

Should works be required outside of these hours, advance notice will be provided to residents.

The Contractor performing the works will be FDC Construction (NSW) Pty Ltd.
