What will the work involve?

The work will include:

  • removing and replacing sections of asphalt;
  • retexturing the paint surface on the bus lanes to improve skid resistance; and
  • replacing utility lids and line marking on Parramatta Road between Flood Street, Petersham and Ross Street, Camperdown.

How will the work affect you?

The work will be noisy at times but RMS will try to minimise its impact, including completing the noisier tasks by 11pm.

To minimise disruption to residents, businesses and road users, RMS will not work more than two consecutive nights and no more than six nights in a month, at one location.

Access to some properties may be affected during shift hours but traffic controllers will be on hand to make sure you can enter and leave as required.

Street parking in sections of the work zone will be unavailable prior to and during shift hours.

Access to bus stops in the work zone may also be affected, but traffic controllers will be on hand to direct you to temporary stopping points nearby.

Traffic changes

There will be temporary traffic changes during our work hours to ensure the work zone is safe.

Lane closures will be in place and may affect travel times. Please keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllers’ directions.

For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit the Live Traffic website or download the Live Traffic NSW App.
