Business waste

For information about business waste in your area, please select your suburb:

Inner West Council – Ashfield

Inner West Council offers a competitively priced waste service for businesses located in the former Ashfield Council area.

Businesses can apply to have their bins collected weekly, twice a week, or three times a week. Each general waste service includes a free recycling service.

The following conditions apply for Council's business waste service:

  • No liquids or hot ashes are permitted in the bins
  • Bins must not exceed 70 kilograms in weight. As a general rule, a bin is too heavy if you cannot lift the front of the bin with one hand.
  • Bins should be left out after 6pm on the day prior to collection and returned to the property within 12 hours of being emptied.

To apply for a business waste service please fill out an application form (PDF 26KB).

For more information on Council's business waste service, please call the Ashfield Customer Service Centre on 9716 1800 or email info@ashfield.nsw.gov.au.

Businesses are required to hire a contractor to remove their waste and must ensure that all private bins are kept inside their property. We strongly encourage businesses to sort their waste and have recyclable materials collected separately.
