Inner West ClubGRANTS Program 2017- NOW OPEN

Each year clubs across NSW provide support to local non-profit community organisations to fund projects that make a difference to the community. The grants aim to enhance the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community. Projects may fall into specific areas such as community and social services; community development; health services and employment assistance activities.

The Inner West ClubGRANTS program is a newly expanded grant program, formed through combining the Marrickville ClubGRANTS program and the Ashfield ClubGRANTS program. Inner West ClubGRANTS are available to assist projects which deliver benefits across the communities of the Inner West Council area, including Annandale, Ashfield, Balmain (including Balmain East), Birchgrove, Dobroyd Point, Dulwich Hill, Enmore, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Lewisham, Lilyfield, Marrickville, South Marrickville, Petersham, Rozelle, Stanmore, St Peters, Summer Hill, Sydenham, Tempe and parts of: Ashbury, Camperdown, Croydon, Croydon Park, Hurlstone Park and Newtown.

Inner West Council Grants Program - NOW CLOSED

The Inner West Council Grants Program is now open for the 2016/17 funding round. The grants provide financial assistance for innovative, creative and sustainable initiatives that support and develop the local community. The following categories of grants are available:

  • Arts, Culture and Events
  • Community
  • Environmental
  • Local History Grants

The Inner West Council Grants Program 2016/17 comprises of grant funding previously made available through Leichhardt and Ashfield Councils; grants are available for programs in those areas, see guidelines for further details.

These grants combine the grant programs of the former Councils of Ashfield and Leichhardt (Ashfield’s Arts, Community and Environment Grants and Leichhardt’s Community, Events, Environment, Seniors and Local History grants) into one integrated scheme. There will be the same resources available through this combined program as was the case when grants were delivered under separate categories.

The former Marrickville Council area had commenced its grants program for this financial year prior to the formation of the Inner West Council. Marrickville Council Grants 2016/17 grants are now closed. As a result the focus of this funding round is the former Ashfield and Leichhardt Council areas.

Council has reformed the system of applying for grants through the adoption of the online application system known as SmartyGrants, making it easier for individuals and groups to submit their applications. Applications close 5pm 29 August, 2016.
