2017 Amy Large Volunteer of the Year Awards

The inaugural Amy Large Volunteer of the Year honours local resident and much loved volunteer Amy Large, who passed away in 2015.

Amy was widely known for her long years of service supporting Birchgrove Public School committees, the Birchgrove Scorpions Junior Rugby League team, the Balmain Town Hall and the Back to Balmain Day Committees, as well as volunteering for the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

The award acknowledges outstanding volunteer contributions to local families, organisations, programs and individuals in need.

Inner West Council invites you to nominate a community member or group who volunteers for the Inner West Council for one of four awards.

The winner of each award will be eligible to win the Amy Large Volunteer of the Year Award and the winner of this award will be put forward as a nominee for the 2017 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Nominations will be judged on:

  • Special or outstanding features of the volunteering
  • The impact and benefit of the volunteering
  • Examples of how the volunteer has displayed dedication above and beyond the norm

Award nominations close Sunday, 2 July 2017
