About the Book
Liguritudine is a collection of short stories by Italian author Danilo Sidari, many of which are set in his home town of Taggia, a beautiful medieval town in western Liguria. These short stories are a tribute to Danilo’s Italian heritage and are imbued with nostalgia.
About the Author
Danilo was born in 1957 in Sanremo, Italy. He moved to Australia, Sydney in 1995, where he lives and works promoting Italian culture and is actively involved in the Italian-Australian community. Journalist, creative writer and singer, Danilo has collaborated with the bilingual magazine Nuovo Paese (Adelaide), the newspapers La Fiamma/Il Globo (Sydney-Melbourne) and the Italian website Mentelocale, as well as writing and presenting several radio programs for SBS on Italian contemporary music. His work has been recognised through literary prizes in Australia and Italy. Schizophrenia migrantis (2012) is his first publication and his second literary work Liguritudine is a new collection of stories set in his homeland, the Ligurian Riviera.
